Abstract

Guava belong to Myrtaceae family, one of the most common and popular fruit in area and production after mango, banana and citrus in India. This fruits is native of tropical America and is extensively cultivated in South Asian countries, Hawiian Islands, Cuba and India. It has been cultivated in India since early 17th century and gradually became a crop of commercial significance. Guava is quite prolific bearer and highly remunerative with out much care.
